Cross-Cutting Lenses
A lens is a cross-cutting view that can be applied to any of the canonical 20 maturity domains. Articles tagged with a lens still belong to a primary domain — the lens is additive. Use a lens when you need to find every article that takes a particular view (maturity scoring, industry case study) regardless of which domain it primarily anchors to.
Maturity Assessment & Diagnostics
Assesses maturity *of* any domain (capability assessment, gap analysis, scoring rubric).
Industry Applications & Case Studies
Case studies and industry examples *of* any domain (financial services, healthcare, public sector applications).
Domains vs Lenses
The COMPEL Body of Knowledge is organised around 20 canonical maturity domains (D1–D20) grouped under People, Process, Technology, and Governance pillars. Every article anchors to one primary domain. Lenses overlay every domain — they are not substitutes for a primary domain. The Maturity Diagnostic lens surfaces articles that score capability and identify gaps inside a domain; the Industry Application lens surfaces case studies and sector applications inside a domain. Browse all 20 domains for the canonical structure.
