Information Asymmetry
Information asymmetry occurs when different teams possess different knowledge about project status or risks, leading to misaligned decisions and coordination failures.
What this means in practice
It grows as each team accumulates local knowledge invisible to others. For organizations, it is a primary cause of integration failures. In COMPEL, it is managed through coordination mechanisms in Module 2.4.
