COMPEL Glossary / designation

Designation

A pinnacle-tier credential recognizing cross-stack mastery across multiple credential types in the COMPEL ecosystem.

What this means in practice

Three designations exist: Transformation Architect (requires AITGP + 2 specializations + 3 micro-credentials), Distinguished Practitioner (requires AITL + 3 specializations + all micro-credentials + 2 joint credentials), and Authorized Specialization Instructor (requires AITI + 1 specialization + teaching portfolio). Designations represent the highest level of demonstrated transformation expertise.

Why it matters

Designations represent mastery across the full breadth of the credential ecosystem, not just depth in a single track. They recognize professionals who have demonstrated competency across certifications, specializations, micro-credentials, and real-world transformation experience, providing a clear pinnacle for career development.

How COMPEL uses it

Designations require demonstrated mastery across multiple COMPEL stages and transformation dimensions. The Transformation Architect designation requires governance expertise (AITGP) plus horizontal breadth (specializations). The Distinguished Practitioner requires leadership competency (AITL) plus comprehensive credential coverage.
